Our Mission
Sea Goat * Sea Change
Abbey of the Redwoods' Sea Goat Farmstand is a small urban"micro-farm" in Humboldt Co. located in the heart of Mckinleyville, CA on the North Coast of California. We operate a weekly farmstand, a small CSA program, and on online store where we sell our produce as well as produce from other growers, local seafood, bread, eggs and other local artisan goods. We aim to make locally grown food more accessible to our community, support the local economy, and create opportunity to educate and empower people to learn the practical skills of farming and gardening.
We are volunteer run at Sea Goat Farmstand. Our team consists of a group of volunteers of all ages, and ethnicities, many of which come to our farm to learn valuable skills around farming and gardening techniques along with skills that allow them to be more ecologically minded and more self-sufficient.
Sea Goat Farm a small urban regenerative micro farm & market garden that uses low till, composting, vermiculture, and crop rotation and is committed to sustainable and chemical free farming practices.
To connect our community to fresh, local food through a farmstand, CSA, and online store, while supporting regional farmers and producers.
To empower self-sufficiency and creativity with educational programs in sustainable farming, gardening, and diverse crafts.
